Prague, 21 April 2026 – Orchitech has implemented an identity management (IDM) solution at Nemocnice Šumperk a.s., integrating the Vema Cloud HR system with Microsoft Active Directory. By replacing largely manual account and access-rights administration with automated identity management, the hospital has reduced errors, accelerated administrative processes, and improved both security and auditability. The project was delivered with support from European Union funding.
Prior to the implementation, user accounts and access permissions were managed mainly through manual processes based on email or paper requests. Orchitech’s new solution now provides daily synchronisation of HR data, automated account provisioning, updates and deactivation in Active Directory, access approval workflows, and self-service password reset with SMS verification. The solution also includes comprehensive logging of all system activity.
“Implementing IDM has delivered significant time savings for our IT team, reduced error rates, and provided a clear audit trail for managing the user lifecycle and associated access rights. We also value the constructive co-operation with the Orchitech team and their rapid response in urgent situations,” said Ing. Josef Loupanec, Head of IT at Nemocnice Šumperk a.s.
The solution now manages 2,075 identities at Nemocnice Šumperk, controls access to 18 applications, and uses 1,671 application and organisational roles. The project demonstrates that identity management automation can help healthcare organisations streamline IT operations while meeting increasingly demanding security and regulatory requirements. Further details on the project and its benefits are available in the full case study.
