DevOps Engineer – Linux

For either of our offices, we are looking for a colleague to help us with cloud’s, applications’ & information and operations systems’ management. 

The systems run in Java, PHP or Node.js, run them in the cloud (AWS) and we love Docker, Continuous Integration and things that make life easier.

We support open source and cooperate with universities. We can help our undergraduate students with their dissertation assignments.

What would you do?

  • solve operational problems (work with data in databases, analysis of logs and quick minor repairs)
  • manage the environment (deploying new versions, maintaining systems and applications, monitoring the production environment)
  • communicate with customers
  • help us implement DevOps for our projects
  • contribute to open-source projects

What should you enjoy and be able to do?

  • be reliability, self-organised, have good analytical thinking and put efforts into finding solutions
  • be communicative and helpful
  • the desire to learn new things
  • basic English, advanced Czech
  • theoretical fundamentals of Linux (rights, processes, etc.)
  • practical experience with Linux at least at the level of “amateur administrator”
  • basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • basic overview of technologies – operating systems, web, Git
  • knowledge of some issue tracking system (Redmine, JIRA etc.)
  • practical programming experience is an advantage

      Tester - software and/or information security (also for fresh graduates)

      What would you do?

      • test systems and applications – user, process, technical testing
      • in the second phase you could also test information security projects – we will teach you
      • suggest improvements in systems to make them more user-friendly (UX)
      • and help analyze and specify requirements to help clients and developers to understand each other, which could in the future lead to less testing

      What should you enjoy and be able to do?

      • analytical thinking and consistency
      • technologies – database (diagrams, SQL basics), principles of the web
      • the desire to learn new things
      • programming experience is an advantage
      • proficient in Czech
      • knowledge of versioning and issue tracking systems – git, SVN, Redmine, JIRA etc.
      • knowledge of agile methodologies – TDD, SCRUM etc.
